Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Star of the Sea NIL Marketplace, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Age and Parental Consent

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. Athletes are asked for a date of birth so we can tell whether a parent or guardian must be involved.

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must cosign each deal agreement alongside you before any work begins or any payment is made. By cosigning, your parent or guardian accepts the obligations of that agreement with you. No deal involving an athlete under 18 can start without that signature.

A parent or guardian may contact us at support@staroftheseanil.com to review, correct, or delete their child’s account and information at any time.

4. Prohibited Deals

Deals may not promote alcohol, tobacco or vaping products, cannabis, gambling or sports betting, adult content, firearms or weapons, or performance-enhancing substances. State NIL rules prohibit these categories for student athletes and taking such a deal can cost an athlete their eligibility. We screen deals for them and may remove any deal or account that attempts to run one.

Athletes remain responsible for complying with the rules of their school, athletic association, and state. We are not able to give eligibility advice.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose, to not impersonate others, and to not interfere with the proper functioning of the service. You are responsible for the content you post and the deals you create or accept.

Harassment, sexual content, and any inappropriate contact with a minor are prohibited and will result in removal from the platform. Every profile, message, and deal can be reported from within the app or website, and any user can be blocked. We review every report and act on it, including suspending accounts.

6. Deals and Payments

All deals are agreements between users. Star of the Sea NIL facilitates the connection and payment processing but is not a party to deals between users. A platform fee of 15% applies to completed deals. Payments are processed through Stripe.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the service.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through settings or by contacting support.
